--Exploring Connecticut Agriculture: Reflections of Women Artists in Our Culture--
The new book, Connecticut Valley Tobacco was released in stores and on Amazon.com.
This local history book, Connecticut Valley Tobacco tells the history and legacy of Cigar Tobacco in New England. The focus is on the long history of cigar tobacco and to share how it is relevant in modern times.
The book features a driving tour component. Each chapter will have a historic and fun location, so you can see the legacy and continuation of the Connecticut River Valley tobacco in person.
There will be Author Talk & Book Signing Events throughout the upcoming months. Inquire about meeting the author, B. Dunlap for a conversation on the book, the history and to get your copy signed.
Books will be available for purchase for $23.40 (including tax) at the events.
The proceeds from the sale of the book go towards the Connecticut Valley Tobacco Museum.
Education is never ending. Those seeking to do research in our archive are always welcome and we will help you as best we can.

Farm Tour Series
The Farm Tour Series involves several
cigar tobacco farms plus a visit to a neighboring farm store or ice creamery for a post tour treat
Saturday, June 18th at 1pm
Experience the planting of Broadleaf tobacco at Raffia Farm of Enfield, CT. Followed with ice cream at Collins Creamery.
Saturday, August 20th at 1pm
Witness the harvesting of Broadleaf tobacco and get a behind the scenes look at the cigar tobacco process at Vincent Farm of West Suffield. Followed with pie samples at Cupola Hollow Farm.
Tickets are $20 per tour. $30 for the two tour package.
